TNCC chief attributes poll victory to DMK performance

Chennai, Oct 17 (UNI) TNCC President M Krishnasamy today said the DMK's victory in the Madurai Central assembly by-election was recognition given by the people to the DMK government's performance in the last five months.

In a statement here, the Congress leader thanked the people for reposing faith in the DMK-led Democratic Progressive Alliance (DPA) and the cadre of the Congress and other alliance parties for having worked for the victory of the DMK candidate.

Mr Krishnasamy congratulated the DMK government for announcing 20 per cent bonus to the transport corporation and electricity board employees. The DMK government had once again proved that it is labour- friendly, he said.
