TDP takes buffalo to Collector's office
Guntur, Andhra Pradesh, Oct 17 (UNI) The District Collectorate here had a different visitor...a buffalo with Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy's name written on it.
The TDP leaders who took the animal to the Collectorate were pressing for Dr Reddy's resignation following the Supreme Court striking down the clemency granted to Congress leader Goru Venkata Reddy in a landmark judgement They later submitted a memorandum to Collector C Jayalakshmi.
Former Health Minister K Sivaprasada Rao told the Collector how the Congress Government made a scapegoat of the 'pliable' Kurnool District Collector to recommend remission of sentence for Venkata Reddy, who was a murder convict, 'in a bid to please Dr Reddy.' UNI XR MVB GM 1614
