Sterilox biocide launched in India

Hyderabad, Oct 17 (UNI) Sterilox, claimed to be "a revolutionary new international biocide" with wide ranging uses in supermarkets, restaurants, hotels, hospitals and clinics, was launched in India today.

Developed with patented technology from UK-based PuriCore of UK it was rated as highly versatile, effective and fast-acting in controlling bacteria, keeping foods fresher for longer period and enhancing hygiene, PuriCore Managing Director Paul James Donnelly claimed.

The biocide was completely natural and safe because it actually replicated the human immune system which defended itself against bacteria.

As it was odourless and tasteless, it was ideal for food products, he said while emphasising on the cost-effectiveness compared to chemical substances.

Mr Donnelly said the company planned to invest five lakh USD initially and was working on a business model for India.

It was also finalising its business partners as it rolled out the technology in India ahead of Europe.
