State Coop to sell crackers worth Rs 1.25 crore
Chennai, Oct 17 (UNI) The state-owned Kamadhenu Cooperative Supermarket, a unit of TUCS society proposes to sell Rs 1.25 crore worth crackers during the current Deepavali season, according to the supermarket's special officer G Elango.
He told reporters here today that during last year's Deepavali season, they sold crackers worth Rs 1.08 crore.
The supermarket was selling crackers in 30 different places of the city and arrangements were being made to sell the crackers on a round-the-clock basis in select retail cracker units, for the next three days from tomorrow.
He said the price of crackers was very competitive compared to other traders in the city. They had 265 varieties of new crackers items, which included the latest fancy items also.
