PGVCL detects power theft by private company

Jamnagar, Oct 17: A vigilance team from the State-owned Paschim Gujarat Vij Company Limited (PGVCL) detected an illegal power connection in a plant of a private infrastructure company located at Khijadia village, about 11 kms from here.

According to the PGVCL sources, a team lead by Technical Squad Head J J Bhatt carried out inspections at the plant of the Remdi Infrastructure Limited and detected power theft of 7 HP yesterday.

The PGVCL has imposed a penalty of Rs 6.5 lakh on the company, the sources said.
