Micro Technologies signs MoU with Nokia, next to follow is Ford

Mumbai, Oct 17 (UNI) Micro Technologies India Ltd has recently signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Nokia as per which the former will provide Lost Mobile Tracking System (LMTS) to the company.

Talking to media before leaving for the USA to hold further discussion with Nokia on the issue, the CMD of Micro Technologies, Dr P Shekhar, said here today said that the product alerts the user of the mobilephone in case of theft of the cellphone.

It works in a simple manner. Whenever the person inserts his sim card in any stolen cellphone fitted with LMTS, the system immediately transmits all the information and whereabout of the sim card to its owner's other cellphone in time, he added.

Also, the company's talks are on with car major, Ford, to provide equipped with Vehicle Black Box (VBB) system, he said. Once the talks are over all the products of both the companies will be fitted with the systems provided by Micro Technologies in future.

He was talking to media on the sidelines of flagging off ceremony for exports consignment of its home security system (Micro HSS) from a Boston based US firm, Macrosoft Associates, for its Dubai office here today.

Macrosoft Associates director, Dr A R Kale, said that the company was also trying to develop a security system for two wheelers in future. Some of the other security products which have already been developed by the company include Micro Life Line (MLL) for busy execurtives and which ensures fast interaction communication with their clients , said Dr Kale.

Micro Technologies, which is a public listed company, has already touched the sales turnover, mark of Rs 58 crore during last fiscal and was all set to double the mark during current fiscal, he added.
