Mediapersons resort to Gandhigiri in Lucknow

Lucknow, Oct 17 (UNI) Taking a cue on Gandhigiri from 'Lage Raho Munna Bhai', mediapersons in the Uttar Pradesh capital today took out a procession to the Press Club here demanding membership for genuine mediapersons.

More than 50 journalists of different newspapers and electronic news channels took out a procession from Patel Smarak to the Press Club. Later, all the journalists presented flowers to the officials of the Club.

The mediapersons were demanding voting rights to associate members and opening of membership for genuine journalists of the state capital.

The elections of the Press Club are scheduled on October 19.
