Maharashtra Scooters Q2 net up 55 pc

Mumbai, Oct 17 (UNI) Maharashtra Scooters has posted a net profit to Rs 12.86 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2006 as compared to Rs 8.31 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2005, an increase of 54.75 per cent.

Announcing the results, the company said its total income rose by 5.7 per cent to Rs 16.23 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2006 from Rs 15.35 crore in the corresponding quarter last year.

Net sales (less excise) declined to Rs 67 lakh in the Sep06 quarter as against Rs 4.62 crore in the corresponding quarter last year.

EPS increased to Rs 11.26 in the Sep06 quarter as against Rs 7.28 in the corresponding quarter last year.
