Longines' Diwali gift for Indian customers
New Delhi, Oct 17 (UNI) Cashing in on the festive mood of Diwali, Swiss watchmaker Longines today unveiled its latest collection 'BelleArti' from its kitty of luxury brands in India.
The company, which celebrates its 175th anniversary next year, has also opened its first exclusive 'Longines Boutique' at Chennai and plans to open more such mono brand showrooms in metros including Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata and Bangalore.
''India is an important market for Longines and we see a great potential in the metros. It will take about two to three months to decide the next site for our time boutique,'' Longines Regional Sales Manager (Asia Pacific) Claude Jaunin told UNI.
Longines BelleArti launched by brand ambassador Aishwarya Rai, celebrates the spirit of the festive season and is more likely to be worn by ladies admiring the vintage style time pieces, though it is available for both men and women.
''Feminine..subtle and elegant...Longines personifies timeless beauty and I will gladly wear it from this day on,'' Aishwarya said after being presented with one by Mr Jaunin here.
Priced at Rs 67,000 onwards, the range is made in 18 carat pink gold with a caseband set in diamonds. The watch sporting a silvered dial with black painted Arabic numericals comes with a sapphire crystal with an anti-reflection coating.
The watch is water resistant upto 30 metres and has a battery life of upto two-and-half years.
