KGH treating 5 dengue patients
Visakhapatnam, Oct 17 (UNI) The King George Hospital (KGH) today said five patients were being treated for dengue at its exclusive outpatient ward.
Hospital In-charge Superintendent M H V R J Somayajulu told UNI Govinda Rao (17) and K Krishna Rao of Srikakulam , Suresh Kumar (32) and Sai Ram of Rajahmundry and Vennananini of Vizianagaram were being treated for dengue and all of them were recovering. The KGH had purchased ten dengue kits with patients coming to the hospital with complaints of dengue.
Meanwhile, District Joint Collector Sandeep K Sultania called for awareness on the disease and precautions to be taken.
Speaking at a meeting on mass drug administration in the city, Mr Sultania said the government was taking all steps to put down mosquito menace by taking up fogging operations.
Medical and health officials had intensified mosquito-control operations throughout the district, particularly in agency areas which were highly vulnerable to the disease.
