Kanshi Ram's ashes to be placed at Prerna Kendra tomorrow

Lucknow, Oct 17 (UNI) Ashes of Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) founder Kanshi Ram would be brought to the Uttar Pradesh capital tommorrow to be placed in the Prerna Kendra by party president Mayawati.

According to party sources, the ashes of late Kanshi Ram would be taken to Prerna Kendra in a procession from Ambedkar Maidan.

Senior BSP leaders would be present during the function.

Meanwhile, Lucknow has been decorated with blue paper flags and big horadings erected in different parts.

Two mammoth white elephants made of Plaster-of-Paris have been brought to be placed next to the urn containing the ashes.

In his will made on August 10, 2003, Kanshi Ram had made his wish to place his ashes at Prerna Kendra.

Kanshi Ram died following prolonged illness at New Delhi on October 8.
