Infosys Foundation Wing launched in Mysore

Mysore, Oct 17 (UNI) The Infosys Foundation Wing and Business Leadership Forum was launched at Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, Mysore centre, today.

At a function held here, Infoys Foundation Chairperson Sudha Murthy inaugurated the Forum in the presence of Kendra Karnataka unit Chairman N Ramanuja.

Later, interacting with the students of the institute, Ms Murthy said team work based on faith and trust was the foundation for the success of Infosys.

On the initial hiccups faced by the company, she said money making was never the company's objective. ''When we started the company, we emphasised on quality service and products. Lesser the capital, more the commitment towards the venture and the will to achieve. The period between 1981 and 1991 was very tough for us.

There was no free economic policy then, but the scenario has changed since the past ten years.'' Referring to opportunities for women entrepreneurs, she said it was true that women cannot work 24x7 like men as they also have to play the role of a wife and others at home.
