IETE, SVU conducts lecture on 'trends in information security'

Tirupati, Oct 17 (UNI) The Institution of Electronic and Telecommunication Engineer (IETE) in association with the physics department of Sri Venkateswara University (SVU) in Andhra Pradesh has organised a popular lecture on 'trends in information security' here today.

In the inaugural function, Associate Director, IISC, Bangalore N Balakrishna said the highlighting growth of the technology and also expressed the increasing security threats to the networks.

The SVU Vice-Chancellor S Jayarama Reddy informed that the information technology was making it possible for more individuals to access knowledge and learn in a new and different way.

Convergence of digital media and net had opened up the possibilities of grand unification of consumer electronic devices with computational platform, he added.
