HDFC Bank Q2 net profit up by 31 per cent

New Delhi, Oct 17: HDFC Bank Ltd today posted 31.70 per cent growth in its net profit to Rs 262.94 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2006, as compared to Rs 199.64 crore over the same period last fiscal.

However, the bank registered 58.47 per cent increase in its total income to Rs 2033.37 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2006, as against Rs 1283.05 crore during the corresponding last year, a company statement said.
