Force 10 to introduce 10 Gigabit ethernet card in India
Bangalore, Oct 17 (UNI) Global leader in high performance networks, Force 10 Networks, will soon sign in on two Indian clients for its 10 gigabit ethernet equipment, gaining footmark globally on a fast pace.
Setting new industry standards for 10 gigabit ethernet performance, switching and latency and port price, Force10 Networks had through its latest product for data centre switch offered an ideal technology for high performance cluster interconnects and data centres.
Company Vice-President (Engineering) Sachi Sambandan told newspersons here that Force 10 had set the industry standards for 10 gigabit ethernet density and performance, delivering product metrics that were more than a generation ahead of competition. By bringing ultra low switching latency to ethernet, the latest switch from the company allowed Indian IT managers to capture the computing benefits of high performance cluster architecture using a familiar and easy to manage technology, he added.
Force10 Vice-President for Asia Pacific Sales Gary Jackson said the company aimed at having around ten system integrators (both tier one and tier two) as partners to push their products in India.
The company would expand its Chennai-based R and D centre to expand its product portfolio and strategically support the development of advanced switching, routing and security products.
With the growing number of global deployments, the Chennai centre would be critical to deliver service and support in real time.
