Dullo again skips Congress rally
Chandigarh, Oct 17 (UNI) Punjab Pradesh Congress Committee (PPCC) president Shamsher Singh Dullo today again skipped the rally of the ruling Congress, presided over by Chief Minister Capt Amarinder Singh amidst chaos at Makhu near Ferozepur.
It was Mr Dullo's third absence in a row in the rallies presided over by Capt Singh, despite the PPCC chief being scheduled to attend these events as mentioned in the newspaper advertisements.
Earlier, Mr Dullo had skipped the Congress rally in Mansa on October''.
Today's rally at Makhu witnessed police lathicharge on the agitating cooperative sugar mill workers, who were demanding their salaries and restarting of the mill.
The chief minsietr's function at the Kisan Mela in Ludhiana last month also witnessed a police action in which some girl students of the Punjab Agriculture University were allegedly molested by the police.
