CommGate launches operations in India

Bangalore, Oct 17 (UNI) CommGate, a provider of Secure Business Servers for Small businesses, today announced the launch of its Indian operations.

Headquartered in Bangalore, the company would expand its operations to six cities next year and work closely with resellers, CommGate said in a release here.

It launched its software appliance products CommGate Professional 3.2 and CommGate Shield 3.2, which provide for the computing infrastructure needs of a growing business, the release said.

Quest Infocom would be the first reseller for CommGate in Karnataka. The company was in the process of appointing resellers across the country.

CommGate CEO in India Abhik Biswas said most of the companies in India fall under the SME category and in the present situation, there were only a few options for them to have a complete IT infrastructure. ''The changed realities of the open markets and free borders have compelled SMEs in India to look for the new options to reduce their operational cost and bring in more efficiency in their day to day activities,'' he added.
