Bomb hoax in K'taka school
Hubli, Oct 17 (UNI) Tension prevailed for some time near Murusavir Mutt area when an anonymous phone call, stating that a bomb has been planted in a high school belonging to the Mutt, was received by the school authorities here today.
Police said the call turned out to be a 'hoax' as a thorough search of the school building by the police, along with dog squad and anti-bomb squad, yielded no explosives.
The school staff received a call at about 1100 hrs, stating that a bomb had been planted, followed by another call at 1115 hrs, asking why the students were not sent out so far. The same person called again at 1125 hrs and warned the school authorities that the bomb would explode.
This was the third such call in the twin cities of Hubli-Dharwad during the past one month.
