Alok Prasad appointed High Commissioner to Lanka

New Delhi, Oct 17: Mr Alok Prasad, currently High Commissioner to Singapore, has been appointed the next envoy to Sri Lanka in succession to Mrs Nirupama Rao.

Mrs Rao, who was the High Commissioner to Sri Lanka, has already been named as envoy to China.

Mr Prasad will take up the assignment shortly, an External Affairs Ministry spokesman said today.
