Accused in rocket launcher case surrenders in AP

Warangal, Oct 17 (UNI) Raghu, the key accused in making rocket launchers and other arms in Tamil Nadu, surrendered in Gudur police station today along with his wife Sudharani.

According to sources here, Raghu, called Tech Madhu for his expertise in technology, was the brain behind the manufacture of rocket launchers. The launchers were being despatched to Andhra Pradesh after manufacture in Tamil Nadu.

Sometime ago, police had recovered rocket launchers and a cache of arms from a transport company in Vijayawada and Visakhapatnam and investigation revealed they were being made in a factory at Chennai.

Later, police handed over the two, said to be close associates of CPI(Maoists), to special intelligence police for interrogation.
