86 farm loans written off
Thiruvananthapuram, Oct 17 (UNI) Kerala Chief Minister V S Achuthanandan today told the state Assembly that all the eligible cases of agriculture loans taken by debt-ridden farmers will be written off by the end of October.
Replying to a submission by Mr A P Anilkumar of the Congress, the Chief Minister said 86 of the 205 eligible cases had already been written off.
He said a high-level committee, headed by the state Chief Secretary, would review the progress in waiver of the farm loans in the suicide prone districts in the state at a meeting here tomorrow.
