3 MLAs suspended from BJP for anti-party activities

Ranchi, Oct 17 (UNI) The BJP today suspended three of its legislators for openly extending their support to Mr Babulal Marandi in the Koderma by-election on November 6.

Mr Ravindra Rai, Ms Kunti Singh and Mr Vinshnu Bhaiya were given seven days to explain why disciplinary action should not be taken against them.

Party's state president Yadunath Pandey while issuing the suspension, took serious note of Mr Rai and Ms Singh's recent statement at a seminar that they would campaign for Mr Marandi, a BJP deserter in the by-election to the Parliamentary seat.

Mr Bhaiya, on his part, shared dias with Mr Marandi during a public gathering at Giridih after the latter filed his nomination on October 12.

All the three legislators belong to the Assembly sectors--Raj Dhanvar, Jharia and Jamtara--that fall among total six Assembly segments under Koderma seat.
