Youth killed after being dragged by crocodile into Vishwamitri river

Vadodara, Oct 16 (UNI) In a tragic incident, a 23-year-old youth was killed after a full-grown crocodile attacked and dragged him into the Vishwamitri river at Khalipore village near here today.

Police said the incident occured when the youth, identified as Rohit Ramji Rathodia of Khalipore, was reportedly crossing the river this afternoon. Rohit was taking his cattle to the other side of the river for grazing.

According to Mitesh Thakore, an eyewitness, Rohit despite his all efforts could not escape as the reptile dragged him into deep water.

The mutilated body of Rohit was however recovered after an hour long search by the villagers.
