Tripura gets ready for Diwali
Agartala, Oct 16 (UNI) Sculptors are busy giving final touches to the idols and pandals on the occassion of Diwali and Kalipuja on October 21.
Besides Tripureswari temple at Udaipur, the festival would be celebrated in the state's North district also. Udaipur is famous for temple and lakes constructed by the then Maharaja.
In the Tripureswari temple, Goddess kali would be adorned by gold ornaments on the Deepavali morning amidst tight security cover during the two-day festival.
Several devotees from the state and neighbouring areas would throng to the temple to see Tripureswari.
Security measures has been tightened throughout the state to make the festival trouble free and stop any extremist threat.
Most of the Kali Puja organisers in Dharmanagar, Kailashahar, Manu and other parts of the district have brought sculptors and designers from West Bengal.
Various cultural programmes would be organised on this ocassion.
