Toray group enters Indian market
Kolkata, Oct 16 (UNI) The USD 12.40 billion Toray Group (Toray Industries Inc) of Japan today announced foray into the Indian market with the launch of three models of their "Torayvino Hollow Fibre Membrane Filter Water Purifiers".
"The purifiers would give 99.99 per cent bacteria free mineral water," Mr Kazunari Takeda, general manager, sales, Torayvino said while announcing the national launch of the product here.
The products would be imported from Japan and there are no plans to manufacture the purifiers in India since the products have to meet highest standard specifications, Mr Takeda said.
The water purifier market in India is valued at around USD 250 million with 18-20 per cent year-on-year growth every year, he said.
Following the launch in Kolkata, Torayvino water purifiers would be promoted in Bangalore, Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai and Hyderabad, he said.
The products are priced at Rs 3530, Rs 5050 and Rs 10710 depending on the capacity of the purifier.
