Punjab announces squad for National Sub Jr Badminton

Jalandhar, Oct 16 (UNI) Punjab Badminton Association has announced Under-13 and Under-16 teams for participation in the Sub Junior National Championship to be held in Pondicherry between October 24 and 30.

Bob Sharma(Patiala), Anand Tewari(Ludhiana) and Akshit Sharma (Nawanshahr) will represent the state in Under-16 Boys section while Komalpreet Kaur(Jalandhar) and Staffi Kala(Ludhiana) will participate in under 16 Girls section, an association release said.

Similarly, Rupinder Singh(Ropar), Arnav Arora(Jalandhar) and Kamaldeep Singh and Chanpreet Singh(both Sangrur) will participate in Under-13 Boys section and Staffi Kala(Ludhiana), Ishu Dewan and Mariyam(both Sangrur) will participate in Under-13 Girls section.

Staffi Kala would play in both Under-13 and Under-16 events.

Kartar Singh would be the coach.

The teams would leave for Pondicherry on October 23, the release stated.
