Naga woman to address WCCD at Rome
Kohima, Oct 16 (UNI) The Nagaland University Teachers' Association (NUTA) president Rosemary Dzuvichu has been invited to participate as a panel member in the first World Congress on Communication for Development (WCCD) to be held from October 25 to 27 in Rome.
The WCCD's theme would be structured around four broad thematic areas namely health, governance, sustainable development and communication labs.
Nobel laureates, representatives from the United Nations and World Bank, ministries and authorities from developing countries and academicians from several international universities were supposed to participate in the Congress, sources said.
The event aimed to show case successful communication for development methodologies and applications to foster self reliance and enhance indigenous people's participation in the development policies.
The Congress being organized by World Bank would be hosted by the Italian government, the UN Food and Agricultural Organization and the Communication Initiative Network, sources said.
