Loksatta to bring in 'political revolution'
Hyderabad, Oct 16: Loksatta National Coordinator Jayaprakash Narayana said the newly formed Loksatta party would strive to bring in 'political revolution' in the country in next ten years and in in the state within three years.
Participating in the first public meeting of the party organised the city, Mr Jayaprakash said the party would give a new definition to politics by introducing a new system in the present political arena.
Alleging that the present MLAs and MPs had become the 'modern jamindars' of the society, he pointed out that the rich persons, criminals and the kith and kin of the political leaders were only enjoying the political power.
Expressing concern over the present political system which was fighting for power and forgiving plights of the people, he said the people were denied justice because of the present political system.
He said the police and investigation departments should be independent agencies. The properties of corrupted officials should be confiscated and the present political system needed to be reformed, he added.
Pointing out that the farmers were committing suicides due to corporatisation of education and health services, the leader said the irrigation water should be distributed among three regions equally in the state.
