KSGEA demands rise in retirement age to 60
Gulbarga, Oct 16: Karnataka State Government Employees Association (KSGEA) President L Bairappa today demanded the State Government to fix 60 years as retirement age and hike the salaries on par with central government employees.
Talking to newsmen here, he said that there is eight per cent to 32 per cent diffrence between the wages of State government and the Centre and appealed to the State government to remove the parity.
He said that Andhra Pradesh, Bihar, Kerala and Maharashtra States are paying salaries to their employees on par with Central government.
Mr Byrappa urged the State Government to fix minimum basic salary at Rs 5000 as against existing Rs 2,500.
