Hyderabad crush Goa by 10 wickets

Hyderabad, Oct 16 (UNI) Hosts Hyderabad earned five points, including one bonus point, after they crushed Goa by 10 wickets in the first league match of South Zone Under-22 cricket tournament for P Ramachandra Rao trophy here today.

Goa, who trailed in their first innings by 101 runs , could only make 117 runs in their second innings. Barring opener Rohit Asnodkar (33, 126 balls, three fours), Sher Bahadur Yadav (39, 63 balls, six fours) and Sarvesh Naik (26, 57 balls, four fours), others surrendered meekly to Hyderabad bowlers.

Right arm medium pacer M P Arjun who returned a match tally of nine wickets, claimed five wickets in the second innings, while left arm spinner Pragyan Ojha took 3 for 36.

Hyderabad hit off the required 17 runs for victory in their second innings in 3.1 overs with out losing a wicket that ensured them a bonus point.
