Huge quantity of illegal fire crackers recovered

New Delhi, Oct 16 (UNI) In the run up to the Diwali festival, the Delhi Police have seized huge quantity of fire crackers from different parts of the city and arrested three people in this connection.

About 4400 Kg of fire crackers were seized from North West Delhi on Friday night. While 2030 Kg was seized from one Jitender Kumar Aggarwal near Uttam Nagar. Another 2370 kg of fire crackers were seized from the shop of Surender Kumar Midha in Rohini.

In another incident, around 1700 Kg of illegal fire crackers were seized from a shop of one Tarun Goyal at Malka Ganj in North Delhi yesterday.

Cases have been registered against the accused under various sections of the Explosive Act.
