HC admits State's plea against rapist cop Sunil More

Mumbai, Oct 16 (UNI) The Bombay High Court today admitted the State's plea for enhancing the sentence handed out to former policeman, Sunil More, who has been convicted of raping a minor girl in the Marine Drive Police Post on April 21 last year.

A division bench comprising Justices V G Palshikar and Nishita Mhatre, while admitting the plea, held that More's plea would be heard during the final hearing.

More was sentenced to twelve year's imprisonment and fined Rs 25,000 by a lower court. However, the State has moved the High Court for a life term for More.
