Haryana Tourism Corporation registers 5 per cent increase
Chandigarh, Oct 16 (UNI) The Haryana Tourism Corporation achieved a turnover of around Rs 57 crore in the first four months of the current financial year, an increase of five per cent over the same period of last year.
In the last financial year the Corporation achieved a turnover of over Rs 171 crore, registering an increase of 15 per cent over the previous fiscal year, a spokesman of the Corporation today stated The Haryana government has allocated an amount of Rs 8 crore for tourism promotion works in the Annual Plan of the current financial year.
He said that the tourist complexes at Karna Lake in Karnal and Tilyar Lake in Rohtak would be developed as ideal tourist destinations for which detailed concept plans will be prepared by professional agencies. The renovation work of various tourist complexes in the state is also been carried out.
