Haryana govt to set-up Biotech Park at Manesar
Chandigarh, Oct 16 (UNI) The Haryana Government has sent a proposal to the Union Government for setting up a biotechnology park at Manesar in Gurgaon district at a cost of Rs ten crore.
While stating this here today, Deputy Chief Minister Chander Mohan, who also holds the portfolio of Science and Technology, said that a grant of Rs 5.52 lakh had been released for the preparation of detailed project report for the setting up of this technology park. He said that the park would have a bio-information-cum-facilitation centre besides an incubator facility in health, agriculture and animal husbandry.
He said that the Science and Technology Department was making continuous efforts to promote research and development activities in various fields through its two agencies namely Haryana State Council for Science and Technology and Haryana State Remote Sensing Application Centre, Hisar. A provision of Rs three crore had been made in the budget of current financial year for implementation of various schemes by these two agencies.
