Haryana govt to promote pilgrim tourism
Chandigarh, Oct 16 (UNI) The Haryana government has decided to project the state as a major place of pilgrimage to attract tourists from round the globe.
Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda said this after paying obeisance at Swami Narayan Mandir in London yesterday.
He urged the management of the Mandir to set up an Akshardham temple at Kurukshetra and assured help for this venture.
The Chief Minister, who addressed a gathering at the Mandir described Haryana as a land where vedic civilisation flourished and Lord Krishna preached the gospel of duty to Arjuna at the onset of the great battle of Mahabharata.
