Five-day IAF Commanders' Conference begins
New Delhi, Oct 16: The Indian Air Force Commanders' Conference began today to discuss the operational challenges before the force.
Apart from this, flight safety, maintenance, administrative and logistical issues will also be discussed at the Conference inaugurated by Chief of Air Staff Air Chief Marshal SP Tyagi at Air Headquarters Vayu Bhawan here.
It is being attended by the top brass of the IAF comprising Commanders and the Principal Staff Officers at Air HQs.
During the five-day Conference, the Air Officers Commanding-in-Chief of all the IAF Commands would carry out a data-based review.
The Director General (Inspection and Safety) would also present a review on flight safety. Discussion on the lessons learnt from recently-concluded exercise 'Gagan Shakti' would also be held.
The IAF Commanders would also attend the Combined Commanders' Conference on October 18 before concluding on October 20.
