Farooq's comment on Afzal 'highly objectionable': BJP
Jammu, Oct 16 (UNI) Jammu and Kashmir unit of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) opposed the comment of former chief minister Farooq Abdullah on capital punishment to the parliament terror attack mastermind Mohammad Afzal Guru as ''highly objectionable''.
BJP state unit President Nirmal Singh in a meeting, alleged that Dr Abdullah ''crossed all limits and openly threatened the country's sovereigny, judiciary, law and democracy.'' Later the BJP, in a statement here, said Dr Addullah was toeing the lines of Chief Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad, former chief minister Mufti Mohammad Sayeed, People Democratic Party president Mehbooba Mufti and separatists, who criticised the capital punishment to Afzal.
