Election of Speaker soon: Koda
Ranchi, Oct 16 (UNI) Jharkhand Chief Minister Madhu Koda today asserted that he would soon induct the 12th minister in his cabinet soon adding the election of the Speaker's post would be held without any delay.
Mr Koda talking to reporters on the sidelines of an iftar party, hosted by him at his official residence here, said he would campaign for UPA candidate Manoj Kumar Yadav for the November 6 byelection to Koderma Parliamentary seat.
The UPA-backed Koda government has been under severe criticism for its inability to present the full fledged 12-member council of ministers though the Chief Minister had been administered oath of office and secrecy on September 18.
Even the Speaker's post has been lying vacant since the then incumbent Inder Singh Namdhari resigned from the post on September 14.
With intense inner squabbles for the ministerial berths among the UPA partners continuing, the Chief Minister had to expand his cabinet in two phases with still one slot remaning to be filled.
The Congress, which has extended outside support to the Madhu Koda government is lobbying hard for the Speaker's post.
Governor Syed Sibtey Razi and a large number people from muslim community attended the occasion.
