CM assures white paper on Ludhiana City Centre project
Ludhiana, Oct 16 (UNI) Punjab chief minister Capt Amarinder Singh today assured the release of a white paper on the controversial Ludhiana City Centre project.
''The truth will come out before the people soon through the white paper,'' the Chief Minister told reporters here.
He said the opposition Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) and the BJP had unnecessarily created a fiasco just to gain political mileage on the issue.
Capt Singh also said that the state Vigilance Bureau was on the job of probing the matter following the sting operation by a news channel, exposing the City Centre scam worth Rs 2100 crore.
It may be recalled that the state government had dismissed the chairman of Ludhiana Improvement Trust following the expose and the Chief Minister had then ordered a Vigilance probe into the matter.
