Barrage of blasts before Presidents visit
Guwahati, Oct 16 (UNI) A barrage of blasts rocked lower Asom on the eve of the President's visit as the ULFA triggered twin blasts in the capital and one in Bongaigaon, killing one at Rangiya today.
Police said one person was killed in Bongaigaon, while none was injured in the twin blasts near the BG Yard here.
Both explosions occurred almost simultaneously in the abandoned railway yards.
None was injured in the incident and police suspected that the bomb was exploded by the ULFA only to make their prsence felt before the President's visit.
Only yesterday, a carrier of the bomb was killed when the bomb went off accidentaly at Kahilipara area of the city.
