ADJ lost in labyrinths of law

New Delhi, Oct 16 (UNI) Additional District Judge Sujata Kohli has moved the court of Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Sanjeev Jain to withdraw her case.

12 years have passed since the agitating Bar members assaulted and attempted to outrage her modesty on the premises of the Tis Hazari court in 1994, she said in her appeal.

Yet, the conclusion of the case was not in sight, she said. The police had only framed the charges against the accused.

Besides, the charges framed were of minor nature. Frustrated at the slow progress of the wheels of justice, she has prayed for withdrawal of the case.

Her petition mentions, "I am not hopeful of getting justice." The court has put the matter for hearing on October 28.
