400 affected by Dengue in Bengal
Kolkata, Oct 16(UNI) The West Bengal government today said about 400 people were affected by Dengue in the state, but assured that there was no reason for panic.
" Altogether 400 cases of Dengue have been reported. But there is nothing to be worried," Chief Secretary Amit Kiran Deb told reporters at the Writers' Building.
He said incidence of Dengue at this time of the year was not unusual.
Reports of Dengue were pouring in from various parts of the state while two persons of North 24 Parganas district were tested positive in serology test for detecting the virus of Chikungunya.
About 3,000 people in Baduria and Swarupnagar blocks of the district were reported to be down with fever, and blood sample reports indicated incidence of Dengue, Malaria and Chikungunya.
