We will support neither BJP nor Cong in Koderma bypoll, FB
Ranchi, Oct 15 (UNI) The All India Forward Bloc today said it will neither support the BJP nor Congress in the November six bypolls to Koderma Parliamentary seat.
The party, supporting the UPA-backed Madhu Koda government in Jharkhand, however, said its main poll strategy will be to ensure the saffron brigade's drubbing in the fray.
Party's national general secretary and MP Debabrata Biswas at the conclusion of the three-day central committee meeting here told a press conference that they would take a final position on poll nominee after the state-level central committee meeting to be held at Giridih on October 21.
Mr Biswas dodged a specific question on the party's stand on not supporting the Congress, main ally in the UPA, in the poll, saying the decision was taken on ''principle'' only.
Neither did he deny nor confirm the party's reported inclination to support Mr Babulal Marandi, who deserted the BJP and resigned from Lok Sabha in May.
'' All these issues would be addressed at Giridih, '' was what he could reply to repeated queries on the Bloc's maintaining same poll policy to the Congress and the BJP.
