Telgi apologised to me: P A Sangma

Pune, Oct 15 (UNI) Former Lok Sabha Speaker P A Sangma said the alleged fake stamp paper scam kingpin Abdul Karim Telgi has apologised to him, for the allegation that he had paid him (Sangma) a bribe of Rs 5 crore.

Mr Sangma who was in the city yesterday for a function at the MIT school told reporters here that he had filed a defamation suit of Rs 5 crore against Telgi for his allegations.

''After spending so many years in the government and responsibly carrying out the duties of Chief Minister, Speaker of the Lok Sabha and as a nine-time MP, my integrity is unquestionable'' he asserted.
