Teacher commits suicide, girl found dead

Kolhapur, Oct 15 (UNI) A primary school teacher allegedly committed suicide in Gadhinglaj tehsil of this district, while a 13-year-old girl from the same taluka was found dead and police have yet to ascertain the cause of the death.

Police today said the school teacher, Mahadev Rama Nandeei (35) from Jaralee village, committed suicide by hanging himself from the ceiling of his house. However, the reason behind the suicide could not be ascertained.

In another incident, the dead body of a 13-year-old school girl, Prajakta Tanaji Patil from Atyal village, was found near a well. The school girl had been missing since Friday.
