Rs 205 cr being spent on 45 development projects in Baramulla
Srinagar, Oct 15 (UNI) The work on about 45 development projects involving an amount of Rs 205 crore is going on in full swing under various sectors in Jammu and Kashmir's Baramulla district.
This was stated in a high-level meeting at Baramulla convened by Roads and Buildings Minister Gulchain Singh Charak to review the progress achieved under various development programmes taken up in the district for the welfare of the people.
During the last financial year, the meeting said, an expenditure of Rs 65 crore has been incurred on completing the construction of 176 km of road in the district.
The work on seven roads taken up under the Prime Minister's Gram Sadak Yojna (PMGSY) was also in full swing.
The work on four roads, 2 bridges, 2 degree colleges 2 public health centres and 18 buildings have been taken up on double shift system of which 2 bridges at Kunzer and Naidkhai have been completed at a cost of Rs 10 crore, the meeting was informed.
For completion of work on Baramulla and Sopore hospitals, Rs 13 crore have been released to the Jammu and Kashmir Project Construction Corporation (JKPCC).
Similarly, the meeting was told that Rs 4.50 crore were being spent on the construction of three public health centres at Sharakwara, Ashtingoo and Tujersharief in the district.
