Prohibitory orders imposed in parts of Kashmir during exams
Srinagar, Oct 15 (UNI) The Jammu and Kashmir government has imposed prohibitory orders in and around the examination centres in Baramulla and Anantnag districts to curb the menace of copying, an official spokesman said today.
He said District Magistrate, Baramulla Baseer Ahmad Khan has imposed Section 144 in and around centres during examinations being conducted by the Kashmir Univsersity and the Jammu and Kashmir Board of School Education (BOSE).
The spokesman said the order would remain in force till the examinations were completed in the district.
However, the order would not apply to security and police personnel deployed for duty.
District Magistrate, Anantnag G A Peer has also imposed prohibitory orders under section 144 within the radius of 500 mt from the examination centres.
The order will come in to force with immediate effect and remain operative till examinations were over.
The prohibitory orders have been imposed to ensure smooth conduct and curb the menace of copying besides upholding the sanctity of examinations, the spokesman added.
