Nine absentee officials suspended in Kashmir
Srinagar, Oct 15: The Jammu and Kashmir government has suspended nine employees after they were found absent from duty and indulging in corrupt practices in Anantnag district, an official spokesman said today.
District Development Commissioner Anantnag G A Peer inspected various offices in Noorabad and Khanabal yesterday, he added.
During the inspection, the spokesman said five officials were found absent from duty and placed under suspension.
One junior engineer and supervisor of Roads and Buildings Division Khanabal were suspended after found absent from duty.
He said storekeepers of Consumer Affairs and Public Distribution department at Ringath and Khull were found indulging in overcharging and placed under suspension.
