NCP ratifies merger with DIC(K)

Kochi, Oct 15 (UNI) The general body meeting of the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) today ratified the merger of the party with the Democratic Indira Congress (Karunakaran) DIC(K).

In the meeting held here, the party approved the merger and the details of it would be worked out later, party sources said.

The DIC(K)'s decision to merge with the NCP had attracted much hue and cry with several of its mid-rung leaders announcing their decision to quit the party.
