North Korea rejects UN resolution, blames US
United Nations, Oct 15: North Korea's UN ambassador said his country ''totally'' rejected the Security Council's resolution today imposing sanctions on his country.
Ambassador Pak Gil Yon told the council at a public meeting that Pyongyang conducted a nuclear test because of the ''hostile policies'' of the United States.
''If the United States increases pressure on the Democratic People's Republic of (North) Korea, the DPRK will continue to take physical countermeasures considering it as a declaration of war.''
